A recent report titled "Public policy labs in European Union Member States" has been published. It has been commissioned by the JRC of the European Commission, the European Commission's science and knowledge service, which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy. Two French organizations were entrusted by the JRC for carrying out this research: the Conseil & Recherche, a research and consultancy center, and La 27e Région, a NGO that advocates innovation in policy making through design and other approaches in order to enhance participation.
The Design Policy Lab has been listed as one of the three labs in Italy. The report outlines regional coverage and focus on innovation in the public sector as its main characteristics.
